The problem

A triple crisis along three coastlines.

These are not abstract environmental problems. They are economic liabilities that municipalities pay to manage.

Biomass accumulation

Coastal and marine biomass accumulates at scale across Caribbean and West African coastlines. There is no viable disposal pathway. The material rots on the shore or gets pushed back into the water.

Plastic waste

West Africa produces hundreds of thousands of tonnes of plastic waste per year. A fraction is recycled. The rest enters waterways, accumulates on coastlines, and reaches the ocean.

Textile waste

Ghana receives 15 million garments per week as secondhand imports. Around 40% are unsellable on arrival. Synthetic fibres do not decompose. The material is stranded.

We take the waste. We pay the tipping fee. We make the fuel.
